Adoption Information
Adoptable Dogs
We have a small number of dogs available through direct adoption. These dogs/pups are in foster homes in the Rochester NY area at this time. While we also have dogs in Houston, TX foster care, none of these dogs are available for direct adoption at this time.

Transported Dogs
We will be adding a page for dogs available in Texas that have not yet found a rescue to take them in. They will be available for transport to the New York area, but homes must be approved first. So please fill out an application if there is a dog you are interested in adopting.
Our main focus is transporting dogs in need to approved Rescues in upstate NY. All our dogs have been spayed/neutered; heart-worm tested (if age appropriate); treated for fleas/ticks; microchipped; and examined by veterinarian and given age appropriate vaccinations. We take every effort to ensure the health of the animal and you will receive a copy of all vet work performed. Puppies will not be adopted out till over 12 wks of age, once we are able to alter them.
100% Foster Homes
We do not have a shelter; all dogs live in foster homes so that we are best able to assess what type of home would be best for our foster dogs. Our goal is to ensure a good match between adopter and foster dog to ensure the dog has a home for life and won’t have to be moved again.
We require that existing animals in a potential home are current on veterinary care; spayed or neutered if old enough; and that you allow us to confirm this with your vet prior to any adoption.
Adoption Process
Our process is a meeting in a public place for the first meet and greet of our foster dog. If that goes well, we then contact your vet (if you have existing animals) to confirm veterinary care and set up a home visit. We would then bring the foster dog to your home and ensure he/she gets on well with all that live in the home and that it is a safe environment for the dog. A home visit is required before any adoption can take place. We try to do all our adoptions just before family has day(s) off from work so that time can be spent together prior to the work week starting.
Please understand we are all volunteers, so at times it may take a few days for someone to respond to your request/question.
Some dogs will require a fenced in yard and some will not. If there are specific needs for the animal, they will be listed in the write-up or told to you.
